Make Money Blogging About Products You Already Own

September 11, 2012 by shuey03 Leave a Comment

This is a guest post from one of our friends discussing how to make money by blogging about products that you already own. Hope you enjoy a break from all of the paid survey talk you are used to on our blog. Enjoy the post!

The world of blogging is becoming increasingly niche. No longer can you rely on your wit and charm to garner interest. That particular area of the blogosphere is already full, thank you. No, modern blogs have to be far more concise about subject matter and topics, and have to be far more carefully conceptualized than previously.

The trouble is that if you can think of a niche, the chances are that you will be able to find a blog on it. So how do you go about creating a monetizable blog that you don’t have to spend a fortune on?

The answer is really quite simple. Create your own niche.

In the internet world we live in, so many customers, readers, clients and users are looking for something unique online. Something authentic. And what better way to generate authenticity than being (and marketing) yourself and your lifestyle?

This all sounds a little airy-fairy, but stick with it. If you look at your hobbies, for example, then you look at the style of your home and the kind of holidays you have, the chances are that little combination is something that others do and want to hear about. You have, in essence, created your very own niche.

Of course, this has the added benefit of you not having to fork out for expensive items to unwrap in front of camera, or having to purchase unwanted things for review. It’s win-win. Your readers get the info that’s relevant to them, and you don’t have to pay anything to keep your blog fresh.

However, it’s understandable that a blog about your lifestyle may not have that killer USP to get readers on board. This is where you have to start thinking carefully about where you’re going to promote your blog. This is reasonably straightforward, as it’s the kind of places you’ll inherently know about. If you play video games, advertise it on gaming forums. If you’re a musician, do the same with music forums etc… Create links with blogs that share some interests with yours, and you’ll start building critical mass reasonably quickly.

So what about the actual monetization? Obviously, you’re working in a very specific niche, and banner advertising may be a little hard to come by. However, it can still be very profitable if done right. If your blogging site is a WordPress one, there’s even a couple of plug-ins that can make the whole process of finding and rotating your ads much easier.

PPC is another obvious way of generating cash. However, you’re unlikely to make much from this until you start getting regular readers. That said, the targeted nature of the readership means a better CTR on your ads.

In-line ads can net you a whole bunch of cash really easily. These kind of adverts place adverts in the text (separated by lines) based on your keywords. Companies like Kontera can be used to build a context-specific ad structure around your website, where you get paid for each click.

If you find a product that you love, why not try a little speculation. Endorse it, or set up an affiliate scheme whereby you make money for every product that gets sold through your site. This is one of the easiest ways of making money from your blog, especially if you’re a trusted source with your readers. Remember, however, only to endorse those products you believe in. There’s no quicker way to lose readers than to sell out.

There’s still no guaranteed single way of making big bucks out of blogs, but spreading the monetizing weight is a good way to monitor what works and what doesn’t. You don’t have to spend a fortune to have a great and successful blog, but you can certainly make a packet out of it.

What’s The Difference Between A Paid Survey Company & Paid Survey Directory

May 7, 2012 by shuey03 Leave a Comment

Many of our site visitors have the same question… what is the difference between a paid survey company and a paid survey directory. Let’s start with what is a paid survey company.

Paid Survey Companies

Paid survey companies are the actual marketing research firms that small and large businesses pay to gather data for them. These companies are in business for only two reasons, first, to build online surveys to administer to their members and two, to collect the data & analyze the results. They then take the data and their findings and turn them over to the companies looking to create or revise a product. These are companies like Opinion Outpost, Lightspeed Research, MySurvey.com, and Global Test Market.

Paid Survey Directories

Paid survey directories are websites like ours which produce a list of paid survey companies to sign up with. The legitimate paid survey directories are those that never charge money for their lists such as sites like Survey Scout. Yes, site like Survey Scout will produce a list very similar to ours, but they charge for something that is freely accessible to the general public, which in our opinion, is dishonest and downright fraudulent.

Other paid survey directories like ours which are legitimate resources for finding paid survey companies to sign up with are as follows:

GetPaidSurveys.com

YellowSurveys.com (Watch out… their site looks like it was built in the early ninety’s)

SurveyHead.com

SurveyClub.com

I hope this has been a helpful little post about the difference between paid survey companies and paid survey directories. If you have any questions about either, please do leave a comment below.

Opening & Closings Of Paid Survey Registrations

September 1, 2010 by shuey03 Leave a Comment

Hey fellow paid survey takers… We just wanted to give you a quick updates about a few of our paid survey offers that keep opening up and closing down.

It seems as though these companies are getting a ton of spoof sign ups and it is causing a lot of heartache for these organizations. So many of them are closing down their registrations for a brief period of time and then opening them back up.

When this happens, we will be sure to redirect you to the best survey companies offers so that you don’t have to waste any time on looking for those that will accept your registration and those that will pay you.

If you have any questions at all, please give us a holler via our contact form

Thanks,

Steve

Calling All Hard Workers & Screw The Rest!

July 13, 2010 by shuey03 Leave a Comment

I work in one of the most volatile, yet rewarding industries on the internet. I have people who hate me for running this website and I have people who love me. Just because I have people who hate me and send me disgusting emails each day, doesn’t mean I am going to take this site offline or back down. In fact, it only makes me want to promote this site even harder because I know it works and I know there are people out there who have success with paid surveys each and every day.

One thing that really pisses me off is when people call me and other websites in the marketing research / paid survey niche spammers and scammers.

I want to clear some things up before I really dive in to this post because it’s really going to get juicy.

To get started, MDX Research is a legitimate paid survey resource that I offer for free! Don’t you dare come to me, looking for help and guidance when it comes to making money online and then a month later send a nasty email to me telling me that I scammed you. Last time I checked, I am giving away my knowledge and expertise free of charge and the paid survey companies you signed up with never ask you for any money… so no… I didn’t scam you and you can go to hell.

Who you should be filing complaints with and blaming are those bastards who take your hard earned money, claiming to invest it for you and promising that you will receive 20% monthly dividends for years to come. While in the mean time, that guy you willingly gave your money to is off purchasing a boat or a new Range Rover and the story ends with you never seeing that money ever again.

You should also be blaming those internet marketing consulting companies like Thrive Learning Center and Prosper who help you and your 90 year old mother max out your credit cards to learn how to market a website and sell a product online and then really never give you any tools you need to succeed. Those are the true scammers and each and every one of them should be reported to the authorities for robbing you blind. Not me!

One thing I have learned from being in this industry for many years is that those who truly make good money online by taking paid surveys are those who are willing to work. We live in a time where everyone wants to get rich quick and doesn’t want to put in any effort to get it. Frankly, I think this is complete bull shit and unless you want to end up losing your home to foreclosure or even go bankrupt, you need to get off your ass and make things happen for you. One thing I can guarantee is, that if you have the mindset of “earning money should be easy”, you deserve to fail and lose everything you have worked for throughout your life. Sorry, but it’s true!

The thing that sets MDX Research apart from other paid survey websites is our experience. I spent many years working for one of the paid survey companies we promote, Opinion Outpost. While there, I did all that I could to learn the ins and outs of the marketing research industry and what they actually did for their clients and for those who took the surveys. I also spent many hours, many days in a row each month stuffing hundred of thousands of checks that were mailed out to our members. I even ran the stamp machine in the accounting office for several days in a row to seal and add postage to the envelopes that carried these checks to our members. If there is anyone out there who knows of the legitimacy of this business, it is me.

The reason I started this website is because I had experience and I knew that I could take what I had learned from my tenure at Opinion Outpost and build a website to help others learn how to dominate paid surveys. I also knew that with some hard work I could take on the big boys who have been established for a long time like Survey Club and Yellow Surveys and differentiate myself because I had one thing they didn’t… first hand experience!

One other thing that sets us apart from other paid survey resource websites is that each of my employees is a member and actively takes surveys from each paid survey site we promote on MDX Research. We stand by our recommendations because we make money from them each and every month. If at any time we feel that one of our sites is not performing, we kick it off our site never again to promote it to our visitors. This is why we provide value to our visitors, unlike our thousands of wannabe competitors out there.

So next time you want to cry foul play, you better take a good hard look at yourself. Did you really put forth the effort needed to make paid surveys work for you? Or did you sign up, click thru the first link and say… “this is way too much for for $3 or $5 bucks”. I’m sorry, but 15 minutes for $3 is great money for some struggling to make ends meet.

If you don’t think this is for you, great, please don’t sign up. I don’t want you to waste my time or the time of our paid survey partner sites. They don’t want you as a member… Even if you are an inactive member, you are still costing them money. If you do want to supplement your income or even make this your only income, I invite you to become an email subscriber of our newly revamped Ten Proven Ways To Make More Money With Paid Surveys. Here you will learn how to make the big bucks and leave all others in the dust when it comes to paid surveys.

Please drop your comments below. I would like to hear what everyone has to say.

Get Paid To Answer Online Surveys

June 15, 2010 by shuey03 Leave a Comment

Paid online surveys are very popular today because marketers can collect consumer opinions quickly and in a cost effective manner. Giving incentives to web participants is much cheaper and more efficient than surveying customers on-site, over the telephone or through the mail. It explains why many surveys are conducted online… But are they the best survey opportunity out there?

To answer this question it’s important to stress that paid surveys aren’t limited to online surveys!

Off-line market research is still very important and according to the purpose of the survey, in many cases participants’ opinions still need to be gathered in a real place (and not on the Internet). Moreover off-line surveys are an excellent opportunity for survey takers. Actually, off-line surveys can pay much more than online surveys because they require more involvement. People taking surveys seriously can make good money with these surveys.

The main kinds of surveys that should be considered to make money are:

  • Online surveys: You give your opinion on the Internet. You can get paid up to $75 for a very specialized online survey but it’s rare to earn such money. The average payout for surveys conducted online is $5. You can also win cash prizes.
  • Focus groups: You participate in an interview conducted among a small number of individuals. These discussions are animated and interesting. They pay the best. You can get paid $20 – $250 per survey. The average payout is $70 for a 90 minute session.
  • Shopping surveys: You are paid to shop at the mall or to eat at restaurants! All you need to do is fill out a questionnaire about your customer experience. It’s a great opportunity for people living in large or medium cities in the U.S. You can get paid $10 – $50 for most shops. Video mystery shopping (you hold an invisible video device that records what you do) can pay up to $100 per shop! Over 700,000 Americans currently work as mystery shoppers.
  • Testing Surveys: You test a new product or service and give your opinion about it. It may take more than one session to complete the survey. The payout ranges from $25 to $500 according to the time needed to complete it.

To earn the best possible money, it is advised to combine all kinds of surveys: Online surveys, focus groups, mystery shopping and testing surveys. Taking online surveys is fine but taking online surveys only is missing out on some of the best opportunities to earn money! According to our experience top performers devote at least 50% of their time to mystery shopping and focus groups because they make the most money with it. Follow their example to maximize your profit!

Our Favorite Tips On Earning Extra Cash Through Paid Surveys

March 3, 2010 by shuey03 Leave a Comment

Do you want to learn the best and easiest way to earn extra cash online? It is about time that you learn more about paid surveys. There are lots of paid online surveys and they offer quick and easy ways of earning extra money while you are surfing through the seemingly limitless World Wide Web. There are lots of surveys out there that can get you paid immediately for simply completing them, given that you qualify for their target respondents. While most compensation rates vary from under $10 to a little over $50, there are surveys out there that can allow you to earn more than a hundred dollars for simply taking them.

It is quite easy to find paid surveys online. One way is through putting in the right keywords into search engines so you can be presented with the most popular survey sites. If you want to be more careful because you do not wish to fall prey to swindlers and scams, you can join paid survey banks or databases. This might require you to pay a certain fee but most of the time, membership fees are kept at a minimum. In this manner, you can have access to fresh links to legitimate paid online surveys on a regular basis.

You need to keep in mind though that you do not have to pay a fee for taking a survey. A legitimate paid online survey will not require you to spend any amount for taking its survey. It is important that you take note that the only time you can be charged fees is when you sign up for the services offered by paid survey banks or databases.

It is quite true that most paid surveys online pay out only a small rate to respondents. This should not discourage you from taking advantage of this opportunity to earn more online. The technique here is that you should not stick with completing just a single survey – try to answer as many surveys as you can everyday so you can maximize your chances of earning supplemental income.

Remember that paid surveys are not get-rich-quick schemes. They are meant to help you earn supplemental income. If you come across websites that ask you to pay a certain fee so you can get rich quick through online surveys, better think again. Try to review the credibility of that website as you might only be wasting your time on a scam.
